Again, no eggs. I’m not sure how we missed so many eggs from our share. I’ve always had plenty in my fridge, so it’s no big deal, but it would have been nice to have gotten them all.
We did get more hot dogs, ground beef, a small ham, and a chuck steak.
Yet again, no eggs. However we did get a chicken, two packs of beef bones, pork chops, and ground beef.
This was a light week at the market. I asked Art to get tomatoes and potatoes and he also came home with delicious zucchini and sweet potatoes. Yum!
We didn’t get eggs again this week due to an accident, but we did come home with ground beef, hot dogs, and a beef chuck roast.
Art also picked up our meat CSA this week. He decided that we already had too many eggs in the fridge, so he opted to skip those.
We got a chicken, a package of ground beef, and a huge sirloin tip roast.
Since I was out of town for the weekend, Art went to the market without me. I gave him very few instructions and left him to his own devices.
He picked up a few pints of little tomatoes, a bag of freestone peaches, three heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, tons of little onions, garlic, super hot peppers, and beef jerky.
This was a light week at the farmers market because I’ll be heading out of town for most of the week and, therefore, not cooking very much.
We picked up potatoes, red bell peppers, a package of hot dogs which is hiding under the “mucho nacho” jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, white free stone peaches, onions, and some HUGE heads of garlic.
Yay for another week of the meat CSA! This week came with ground beef, a beautifully marbled chuck steak, 2 pounds of pulled pork, and a dozen eggs.
Art also picked up 4 pounds of sweet Italian sausage and 1 pound of hot Italian sausage. Yum. One of these days we’ll have a random grilled steak night to use up all of these single steaks we’ve been getting.
To maximize errand running this morning, Art went to the market without me. I’m not feeling super excited about food or cooking at the moment due to my upcoming lithotripsy, so the wish list I gave him was fairly short. “Flat of tomatoes for roasting and four pints of assorted small tomatoes.”
He came home with those as well as some yellow beans, a bunch of Japanese eggplant, and a small container of blackberries.
It’s a nice, if small, haul.
We got a ton of food in our meat CSA this week!
Eggs, chicken, sweet Italian sausage, flat iron (!), two packs of ground, and a bottom round steak. The marbling on the flat iron is gorgeous! We’ve been super pleased with every bit of meat we’ve gotten from Zekiah. I can’t wait to get our next half cow!
