Local Food 7/7/2012

Last week was super hot at the farmers market, but we made our trip anyway.

I’m glad we did since we were treated to the rare appearance of tomatillos!  I also got tomatoes, green onions, basil, cilantro, zucchini, green bell peppers with a lot of red, cucumbers, potatoes, and yellow onions.

Then we trekked out to Zekiah and picked up a bunch of skirt steaks, two hangar steaks, a flat iron that seemed determined to come home with us, a kohlrabi, and a bunch of peaches.  We also got some “stuffing tomatoes” to try out.  Definitely a productive trip!
