February 2011 Recipe Roundup

People often ask me “What are your favorite (recipes, Gwen?”  And, of course, I blank.  I’m horrible about picking favorites when it comes to just about everything and (recipes are the worst.  Well, maybe books are the worst, but (recipes are certainly high on that list!

I used to cheat and just link people to my blog saying “my favorite (recipes are at my blog!”  I did this the other day and then thought “Wait a minute, just how many (recipes are on my blog these days anyway?”  I checked, checked again, and was shocked to see the number is quickly approaching 600.  Clearly you wouldn’t give someone a 600-recipe tome when asked what your favorite (recipes are, so it’s rather poor of me to give people a blog link in answer to that question when there are just so many (recipes here.

This got me thinking about picking favorite (recipes and I just can’t do it.  I don’t want to go through each recipe and choose favorites because I would end up with a list 300 (recipes long.  I figured that a better (and shorter) indicator of favoritism would be the number of times a recipe makes it onto the meal plans.

Art and Lance, with all of their computer skills, worked together to generate a list for me.  Woo!  My thought is that every month I’ll post the top 10 most cooked (recipes and I’ll also include a shout out for some of the neatest new (recipes I’ve cooked in the previous month.  I’ll try to post this close to the beginning of each month, with the exception of March, which will be taken care of by this first Recipe Roundup.

Enjoy!
